James Cotton has correctly identified the Plymouth Argyle player as Bob Jack, father of David Jack. He was a regular at Home Park from 1903 to 1906. Here's a link to his biography at Greens on Screen. I originally though it was J.W. Sutcliffe, who was an England international at football and rugby and played for Plymouth Argyle between 1905 and 1912.
