168 + 24 'stamps'
Here are scans of photocopies of a complete album of sorts. Many of the 'stamps' have been carefully cut out and placed in the album. The first two scans show the front cover and the inside of the front cover. If we take the next scan to be page 1, you'll see that this page and the next three odd-numbered pages have spaces for just six stickers, which are larger than those on the even-numbered pages. You'll also find that the next four odd-numbered pages have complete sheets stuck on them. If you look carefully you'll see that these pages have boxes similar to the earlier pages and were created to hold 6 larger stickers each. The album was originally created to hold 144 pictures - 96 small pictures (40mm x 40mm) and 48 larger ones (56mm x 40/42mm). The larger 'stamps' came in sheets of three, the smaller ones in sheets of twelve. Eight weeks would have been long enough to provide the 96 small 'stamps', but we now know there were 14 sheets in all (168 'stamps). Only 24 of the larger 'stamps' were issued, perhaps that had something to do with the demise of one of the magazines. I think this is another case of the more you learn the less you know...
